Gorby Peters Founder Chaired the Admissibility of Expert Testimony in Georgia Seminar

The lawyers at Gorby Peters have been busy this month!

Founder Mary Donne Peters recently chaired the Admissibility of Expert Testimony in Georgia seminar, which was held on October 27, 2017 at the State Bar of Georgia. Partners Michael J. Gorby and Amy C. M. Burns spoke at the seminar, along with other many others, including The Honorable Catherine M. Salinas; Professor Ronald L. Carlson; Sonja Rasmussen, MD; and Randall M. Kessler.

Amy Burns spoke about the need for contracts with experts, and in particular the need for a Business Associate Agreement with your expert which addresses Protected Health Information as well as other confidential information. Mike Gorby spoke about expert testimony in premises liability cases (Mike speaks regularly on this subject and recently chaired a seminar at the State Bar of Georgia on Premises Liability).
